What’s that we hear!? A goal met early? ? - It’s true! Our Micron Technology team member volunteers are incredible. When we challenged them to hit ONE MILLION volunteer hours since 2020 by the end of this year, they sure rose to the occasion! Not only did we hit 1 million hours, but we are exceeding it and still going strong ??. Our team members are the heart of our mission to make a difference, and beating goals like this one just proves it even more! Congratulations and THANK YOU to all of our Micron volunteers! We are so proud of the collective impact they make in our communities around the world ??.
Last month I shared that we?set ambitious community impact goals, including our mission to reach one million hours of volunteerism since 2020 by the end of this year. Today I am thrilled to share that we have officially reached our goal and ahead of our Dec. 31 schedule! ?? Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without our team members, who have rolled up their sleeves, given their time and talent, and made a difference in countless ways. As the president of the Micron Foundation, I am incredibly proud of how our teams have supported our global communities through local initiatives, global charity efforts, and environmental sustainability projects. Our team members truly embody Micron’s core value of People and our vision to enrich life for all.? As we reflect on this achievement, it’s clear that our commitment to giving back is just getting started. Together, we’ll continue to challenge ourselves to do even more – supporting causes that empower our people, lift up communities, and build a better future. Congratulations to all our Micron team members who have donated their time, resources, and expertise to making our world a better place for all! #volunteerism #givingback #microngives

Our STEM programs were happening across the globe this week- how cool to be able to share vibrant and engaging programs with students in Boise and in Singapore. Our Micron Technology team members, volunteers and leaders are all behind our mission to increase access to STEM education where they live and work and we love to see it!
I want to extend a huge thanks to members of our Singapore team who I met with last week. During the visit, I joined over 60 kids ages 13-15 for our signature Chip Camp at the Science Centre Singapore. Supported by members of our Mosaic Employee Resource Group, we facilitated hands-on activities designed to engage kids in the field of semiconductor science and with new innovations incorporating Gen AI. Thanks to the Science Center teachers and Micron Technology volunteers who facilitated a fascinating day. We always enjoy welcoming students worldwide to engage in #STEM subjects, learn about technical careers, and connect with companies like ours. In addition, I was pleased to join a roundtable with 17 Singapore nonprofit organizations to discuss partnership opportunities with the Micron Foundation. During the conversation, we shared strategies to address gaps in digital and technological skills that exist among underrepresented populations in Singapore, particularly for women, that hinder their ability to access and thrive within the STEM ecosystem. Through business, community, and government partnerships, we can elevate opportunities for all people to access pathways that welcome them to careers of the future.

More of our Micron Technology team members and leaders are shining their light by volunteering in our communities around the world during Star Light Volunteer Month - Go Micron! #MicronGives
Micron’s ‘Star Light Volunteer Month’ began in Singapore in 2021, in collaboration with Taiwan team. By 2024, the fourth edition of Star Light has became a global event involving Japan, Malaysia, China, the United States, India and Europe. This year, Star Light 4.0 would unite all team members worldwide to enhance our social impact on the communities where we operate, thus enriching lives for all. With the active participation from many senior leaders including Manish Bhatia, Kok Sing Chen and Teddy Pramono, I am confident that we would achieve Micron’s mission of ‘One Million Volunteer Hours’ by end of 2024. Amazing to see young engineers tackling challenges demonstrated in this award-winning project. It is great to see them using the resources available to them to drive change and improve their communities! We are proud to support these STEM labs where innovation leads to fantastic outputs such as these.
National Champions in Vigyan Jyoti!??? We are thrilled and proud to announce that Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hathijan has emerged victorious in the?Vigyan Jyoti?program, securing the top spot at the national level! Our students’ exceptional problem-solving skills and innovative approaches have set a new standard for excellence.???? ?? The Vigyan Jyoti program, initiated by the?Department of Science & Technology, aims to empower young women in STEM fields. Amidst the stiff competition from over 100 students across Gujarat and Maharashtra, one of our students,?Ms.?Jiya Panchal, a Grade 12 Science student, showcased her remarkable ingenuity in addressing waterlogging challenges in Ahmedabad. Her project focused on developing a sustainable, cost-effective method to address the recurring problem of urban waterlogging, which not only disrupts daily life but also causes extensive damage to infrastructure.? ?? Her innovative approach involved creating an intelligent water management system that integrated sensors to monitor water levels, combined with a real-time drainage control mechanism. This system efficiently diverted excess rainwater to reservoirs, reducing flooding risks and preserving water for future use.? ?? Our school's success is greatly supported by our state-of-the-art STEM lab, generously backed by the Micron Foundation. This facility provides our students with invaluable hands-on experience, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. The lab's advanced equipment and resources have been instrumental in nurturing our students' curiosity and enhancing their problem-solving skills, further contributing to their outstanding achievements in programs like Vigyan Jyoti.
