Our CEO, Jack Kloeber, attended the Top Producer Summit in Kansas City last week. This was a great opportunity to learn about up-and-coming agriculture technologies and to network with professionals in all areas of agriculture including farmers and entrepreneurs. Jack presented on our natural herbicide, MGX-1001, and our metabologenomics discovery platform. He met farmers from Tennessee, Iowa, North Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, and Kentucky. They discussed how herbicide resistance is present in some of the most problematic weeds such as Palmer amaranth, waterhemp, kochia, morning glory, marestail, barnyard grass, and Johnson grass. We aim to help these farmers with MGX-1001. Its novel mechanism of action will help to take back control against some herbicide resistant weeds. Also presenting at the summit, was the new Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins. She promised to be supportive of farmers in her interactions with Congress and the rest of the Cabinet. The whole afternoon and evening were a perfectly organized way for farmers and investors to look at over 20 AgLaunch portfolio companies, all of which have now been through the AgLaunch accelerator. The great part is, #FARMERS chose us. And now, we start trials that farmers will help to run on their own farms. Invaluable data and on farm best practices. Wonderful program overall.
