    See this important article about the threat to US infrastructure. Any firm can follow the advice here to be protected.

    The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (#CISA) released an advisory yesterday about state sponsored #threatactors from China attacking companies related to our critical infrastructure here in the US. The goal is to maintain persistence (hang around with access) in case they want to attack our infrastructure (water, energy, traffic) and cause mayhem. The article is linked below. The article talks about living-off-the-land attacks (LOTL), which simply means using tools that already exist in the environment rather than introduce viruses or other malware. They talk about OT devices, which are devices that monitor or control production machinery or other equipment like thermostats, valves, etc. The implication of this is scary. Imagine someone in China with the access to override our ability to control a gas line or electric transmission or even traffic. Now imagine they are sitting on this capability for up to 5 years (suggested by CISA), just waiting to pull the trigger if they don't like something our government does. The article suggests practicing things that we often recommend: * Patch your devices to remove known vulnerabilities. * Monitor activity for changes. * Log access (especially privileged access). https://lnkd.in/ekaXCs8C
