What does it mean to be a grower-owner cooperative? Hear all about it directly from a handful of our roughly 865 shareholders who annually plant, grow, and harvest about 140,000 acres of sugarbeets in 17-20 Michigan counties, as well as Ontario, Canada. Each year, those beets are sliced and about 1.3 billion pounds of pure, all-natural sugar is extracted, packaged, and sold.
