?? Event Recap! ?? The Michigan State Law Review (MSLR) hosted its Annual Symposium at the iconic Broad Art Museum on Thursday, November 21st, focusing on the timely topic of tax law. We were honored to feature Professor Alex Raskolnikov from Columbia Law School and Professor Lawrence Zelenak from Duke University School of Law, who shared insights from their upcoming contributions to MSLR’s symposium issue. The evening began with introductory remarks by Professor Charles Delmotte, setting the stage for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, as well as our distinguished speakers for their invaluable contributions. Events like these wouldn’t be possible without your support and participation! Last, but not least, Thomas Gliniecki is yet another MSLR member that will be published in the Michigan State Law Review Journal for the 2024-2025 academic year! Let’s celebrate his achievement, as his student note “Dividing by Zero: The Inherent Disproportionality of Punishing the Provision of Gender-Affirming Care” explores whether the Eighth Amendment provides yet another avenue to challenge such laws in addition to equal protection and due process challenges. This is a remarkable achievement that reflects our members hard word, dedication, and exceptional writing skills. Stay tuned for his insightful note. Congratulations Thomas!!
