How much energy and money can you save by using ABB drives? ABB Motors and Drives North America’s variable speed drives and high-efficiency motors can reduce energy consumption by up to 50% in HVACR systems. By adjusting motor speeds to match demand, these drives optimize pump, fan, and compressor performance, cutting costs and extending equipment lifespan. Did you know? The noise sometimes associated with VAV diffusers is actually due to high pressure—not the diffuser itself. To keep systems quiet, pressure control is key. Here are four effective approaches: 1. 30% Rule 2. Fan-Speed Control 3. Zone Damper 4. Bypass Damper Discover how to achieve a quieter, more efficient HVAC setup with these strategies in Price Industries blog post: https://lnkd.in/gTgfjknm

As the HVAC industry shifts toward A2L refrigerants to reduce global warming potential (GWP), it's essential to stay informed about the safety measures and unique considerations associated with these refrigerants. We are excited to share The Safety of A2L Refrigerants in Direct Gas-Fired HVAC Equipment, a Greenheck technical bulletin that delves into the necessary precautions, risk assessments, and design adaptations for A2L refrigerants like R-32 and R-454B in HVAC applications. Key Insights: ? Mitigating Fire Risks: A2L refrigerants, while safer for the environment, can ignite in stagnant environments when exposed to open flames or electrical arcs. Proper airflow and leak detection systems are critical to maintaining safe operating conditions. ? Handling Toxic Byproducts: Exposure to flames can cause A2L refrigerants to produce hydrogen fluoride (HF), making safety protocols during service and repair essential to avoid accidental exposure. ? Combustion Effectiveness: Tests reveal that combustion of A2L refrigerants in gas-fired systems is limited, with a combustion rate of just 17%, reducing risks but emphasizing the importance of proper equipment design. ? Leak Mitigation: Leak detection sensors trigger at 12% of refrigerant LFL, disabling the furnace and activating fans to address refrigerant safety requirements for occupied spaces. Download the full document to explore the practical guidance and safety protocols in place to ensure a smooth transition to lower-GWP refrigerants.

At Michigan Air Products, our communities are at the heart of everything we do. They’re where we live, work, and play, and we’re proud to give back whenever possible, guided by the efforts of our Community Impact committee. We’re excited to share that, through our team’s collective effort, we’ve gathered an impressive 43,191 pop tabs to support Ronald McDonald House Charities! These tiny tabs may seem small, but together, they create a big impact—helping provide families with a comforting place to stay close to their hospitalized children at little to no cost. By turning these pop tabs into funds, we’re helping to lighten the burden on families during challenging times. Every tab truly counts, and we’re honored to support such a meaningful program.
