Every year, Michelle's Place comes together to provide a full Thanksgiving meal for clients who could use a little extra support during the holiday season. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Kelly Johnson and our incredible volunteers, we're able to gather, sort, and distribute all the fixings for a feast to remember. We are so grateful for the generosity of our amazing community that steps up to make the season a little brighter for those impacted by cancer. Her dynamic and motivational speaking style, filled with enthusiasm and energy, is set to inspire attendees of all ages, equipping them with tools to achieve their personal goals. Gillian’s message highlights the significance of persistence, dreaming big, and self-belief while embracing the African philosophy of "Ubuntu"—the notion that our success is interconnected. We are pleased to announce that Jeffrey Kurtz has joined the Honorary Committee of the 2024 Walk of Hope, presented by Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center. He is graciously hosting the Walk of Hope at Promenade Temecula and his expertise and guidance is pivotal to the success of the event. Jeffrey has been the Senior General Manager of Promenade Temecula for 18 years, where he manages critical functions such as leasing, marketing, and security to ensure the shopping center remains vibrant and engaging. His 30-year career in the shopping center industry includes overseeing significant projects like the 2009 expansion, which added new parking structures and a 126,000 square foot Lifestyle expansion, enhancing the center's appeal with outdoor shopping and upgraded facilities. Previously, Kurtz played a key role in the grand opening of Victoria Gardens and served as General Manager at Lake Elsinore Outlets. His expertise is backed by ICSC certifications as a Certified Shopping Center Manager and Certified Retail Executive. Active in the community, Kurtz serves on several local boards, including Visit Temecula Valley, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest County, Project Touch, and Murrieta Temecula Group MTG demonstrating his commitment to both his profession and the Temecula Valley community.
