?FAQ: Do I have to pay anything upfront to hire your firm? You don’t need to pay anything upfront to hire us. We understand that most people don’t have the resources to cover legal fees or the costs of a prolonged court case. That’s why we operate on a contingency fee basis. Under this arrangement, our fee depends on whether we successfully recover compensation for you through a settlement or trial verdict. If we win your case, our payment will be 40% of the total recovery. The expenses we advance during the lawsuit—such as court fees and expert witness costs—will also be reimbursed from the settlement or verdict. If we are not successful in your case, you won’t owe us anything for our legal services or the costs of litigation. For example, proving a case often requires our team to dedicate over 3,000 hours of work and spend upwards of $100,000. If we don’t win, we absorb these expenses entirely and never charge you. This commitment reflects our confidence in the services we provide and explains why we carefully select the cases we take on.

Staffing shortages are a growing concern in U.S. nursing homes, with 94% of facilities reporting insufficient staff to meet residents' needs. This shortage not only affects the quality of care but also increases the risk of abuse and neglect, leaving vulnerable residents without the attention and protection they deserve. It's crucial to advocate for better staffing and resources to ensure the safety and well-being of our loved ones.

A Minnesota Department of Health investigation uncovered severe abuse by a nursing home employee at Bayshore Residence & Rehabilitation Center in Duluth. The employee targeted four vulnerable residents, sharing humiliating videos and photos on Snapchat and engaging in physical abuse. The incidents involved one resident with physical, communicative, and cognitive impairments, who was thrown onto a bed by their legs, struck with shoes on their chest and face, and had food thrown at them while protesting. The employee also recorded herself making offensive gestures, including raising her middle finger at the resident. Other abuses included taking inappropriate and revealing photos of three residents, either partially nude or posing with pornographic images. The victims relied on wheelchairs or walkers for mobility, and one resident’s cognitive impairments made them unable to be interviewed. The whistleblower, a former Bayshore employee, reported the content as increasingly disturbing. The accused employee declined to speak with investigators. https://lnkd.in/gaeCtwxb

**Past Case Representative: Choking Roger, a 66-year-old resident of a nursing home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. ALS is a progressive illness that impacts nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing muscle weakness and ultimately affecting vital functions like breathing. Due to his condition, Roger was unable to breathe independently and relied on a BiPAP breathing mask to circulate air through his respiratory system. Tragically, he lost the ability to breathe when the breathing apparatus became disconnected, leading to his death in his room. The case settled in Summit County, Ohio, for $1,500,000. We remain deeply committed to seeking justice for nursing home abuse victims like Roger. Our dedication to protecting vulnerable residents extends to every case we handle, working tirelessly to ensure accountability and prevent similar tragedies. By advocating for the rights and safety of nursing home residents, we strive to hold facilities responsible and promote higher standards of care, offering families the reassurance that their loved ones’ voices will be heard and that such devastating incidents will not go unanswered. #nursinghomeneglect #nursinghomeabuselaw #nursinghomeabuse #ElderCare #elderabuse #elderlycare #ProtectSeniors

Every year, over 1,400 cases of sexual abuse are reported in nursing homes—yet too many go unaddressed due to underreporting and failure to investigate. Our most vulnerable loved ones are at the greatest risk. Families and advocates must stay alert and know the signs of abuse, such as unexplained injuries, withdrawal, or sudden behavioral changes. It’s up to us to act and ensure seniors are safe, protected, and treated with the dignity they deserve. #nursinghomeneglect #nursinghomeabuselaw #ElderCare #elderabuse #elderlycare #ProtectSeniors #nursinghomeabuse
