    Congrats to our client, Monroe County Friends of Animals (MCFA) near Knoxville, TN! Our firm guided MCFA through the $4.5 million RAISING THE ROOF, RAISING HOPE FOR ANIMALS capital campaign, which built the spectacular Eastbourne Animal Center. I was thrilled to be at the dedication in August. What a valuable resource for Monroe County dogs and cats, their caregivers, & citizens of Monroe County. Kudos to campaign chair @Cheryl Ulmer & former board President Jim Barrett for their generosity, fearlessness, & leadership. And gratitude to Barbara Eastbourne & all donors whose beneficence fulfilled this long held dream. Woof!

    Hands-on Fundraising Consultant and Accredited Coach for Nonprofits

    Yesterday, I passed the 3-hour accreditation exam to become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation. It's been a dream and a nearly two-year journey to fulfill the ACC requirements: 72 hours of coach-specific training, 10 hours of mentor training, 100+ hours of coaching, performance evaluation. And I'll abide by the ICF Code of Ethics. Why go through all this when anyone can call themselves a coach? Because part of my "why" as a fundraising consultant is to empower individuals and nonprofit organizations. Even the most accomplished people - executives, athletes, those in nonprofit and public service - turn to skilled coaches for help and accountability. Coaching is a process of interaction, a partnership that encourages a shift in who you are, what you do, and how you do it. And I'm committing to the "gold standard" of ICF-level training. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. While I have more than 40 years' experience in fundraising and consulting, I've learned that I'm NOT THE EXPERT! You have all the resources, knowledge, and ability to create your own solutions. My goal is to facilitate and support your power to reach your chosen goals.
