Byrne Horizontal Auger Boring Machines have been the source of many record bores and provided utility contractors equipment to complete bores on line, on time, and on budget. Cutting head for all types of soil conditons are manufactured by Byrne as well augers ranging in size from 4" to 96" diameter. Byrne Environmental Material Handling has been serving the hazardous/non hazardous waste industry for over 32 years with a wide variety of proucts that include 55 gallon drum auger machines, complete trunkey processing plants that include drum crushers with 500 gallon to 3000 gallon hydrapaulpers (haz-mat blenders), custom equipment for various customers including the Department of Energy for their nuclear waste isolation plant. Byrne equipment is compliant with Class 1 Div1 environments.

Michael Byrne Manufacturing acquired Crichton Gear in the 1990's. Crichton had been supplying gearboxes for MBM and industrial applications. Crichton also manufactured the wheel drives for the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration moon rover. The gearbox is the heart of the Auger Boring Machine, our gearbox has been designed specifically for the auger bore application. Veterans are special people who put their life on the line for our country. Michael Byrne Manufacturing has long history working with Veterans as our founder Mike Byrne was a WW2 B24 bombardier. Our current veterans joined MBM president Jim Weist for a day of fishing last Friday to thank them for their service. The Weist family has an extensive history as veterans as well. A big thank you from all of us at MBM, Alex Weist US Navy Corpsman active, brother Dan Weist Vietnam Vet with 2 purple hearts and a Bronze Star with Valor, his sons Brian US Secret Service (retired), and Thad US Army Aviation, brother in law Dave Readler Vietnam Vet.
