Over 200 members from 10 schools statewide came together in Bay City to learn, grow, and compete at this year’s State Career Development Conference. After months of hard work and preparation, you showed up, stepped up, and proved why DECA members are trendsetters, role models, and champions. A huge thank you to the advisors, judges, coordinators, alumni, and friends who made this conference possible. Your dedication helps shape the next generation of leaders! No matter how competition played out, take a moment to celebrate how far you’ve come. And for those heading to ICDC in San Francisco—get ready to take it to the next level!

It’s been an incredible honor serving Michigan Collegiate DECA as Vice President. ?? I’m delighted to have placed 2nd in the state of Michigan in Marketing Communications alongside my partner, Emma Schultz. ?? Being able to plan and run this conference with an incredible team was such a rewarding experience. I’m proud of the 600+ goods raised for the local charity and had a delight hosting the Michigan DECA chapters social event. Networking with DECA students and alums and competing in Marketing is truly the best way to spend a weekend. Finally, thank you to my advisor and mentor Michele Ann-Weigel Bartosek, Ph.D. and congratulations to all members of Central Michigan University DECA; I love being your President and I’m so proud of the entire chapter! ?? ?? That’s a wrap on the 2025 Michigan Collegiate DECA State Career Development Conference! This past weekend I had the honor to help put on and compete at another incredible conference for Michigan Collegiate DECA. I am excited to share that I placed First in the Travel and Toursim individual competitive event! Thank you to Danielle Leath for being our Keynote Speaker for this conference and sharing your infinite wisdom with myself and 200 other Michigan Collegiate DECA students. Working with Danielle to put on this presentation has been an incredible experience. Her passion for empowering others is truly inspiring and has helped shaped my personal and professional in so many ways. It has been an honor to serve as the 2024-25 Michigan Collegiate DECA Vice President. I want to thank Tanya Blehm, Claire Forrest, MBA, Jaylen Body, Kefir Klee, and the rest of the Board for all of their support and hard work throughout this year. I also want to thank Central Michigan University College of Business Administration for their support in sending myself and 14 other CMU students to this amazing conference. Congratulations to the rest of the CMU DECA team for all of their hard work and accomplishments at this conference!
