Miami-Dade County DTPW hosted the second of three public meetings regarding the South Corridor Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Master Plan. This meeting was held in the City of Homestead and featured an open house format and a presentation on potential improvements, as well as social, cultural, and environmental impacts, and community feedback. ? The?20-mile corridor, extending from Dadeland South Metrorail Station to 344 Street Park and Ride, is being studied for TOD opportunities around future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations, aligning with BRT improvements. The study aims to boost economic growth, optimize land use, enhance mobility, and promote pedestrian-friendly urban design, fostering vibrant, connected communities in South Dade. ? Miami-Dade TPO Executive Director, Aileen Bouclé, AICP, met with TPO Governing Board Member, Honorable Christi Fraga, to discuss critical transportation projects in the northwest quadrant of the county, specifically NW 25th Street and NW 58th Street capacity projects that will reduce roadway congestion, improve safety, as well as address pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure. A field review was conducted to identify opportunities to accelerate the delivery of these projects. #MiamiDadeTPO
