Last Thursday, we marked a major milestone during #MiamiClimateWeek celebrating the release of Miami-Dade County's Urban Forestry Plan with a community tree planting 🌳 This plan is a blueprint for reaching the county's goal of 30% urban tree canopy cover. With the launch of Miami-Dade’s Urban Forestry Plan, we’re taking action to protect, restore, and expand our tree canopy because trees aren’t just beautiful, they’re essential. They cool our streets, improve air quality, manage stormwater, and create healthier, more livable communities. How can you help? Join us Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces 🌿 More than 8,000 volunteers already take part in tree plantings and habitat restoration projects every year.
