Next week, MVRPC will host a virtual public input meeting on Thursday, March 27. This meeting is regarding the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) which includes roadway projects, bike/pedestrian projects, bus/transit and other transportation-related projects and services in our Region. MVRPC CONTINUES SPEARHEADING PROGRESS. Established in 1964, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission promotes collaboration among communities, stakeholders, and residents to advance regional priorities. MVRPC is a forum and resource where the Board of Directors identifies priorities and develops public policy and collaborative strategies to improve quality of life throughout the Miami Valley Region. MVRPC performs various regional planning activities, including air quality, water quality, transportation, land use, research and GIS. As the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), MVRPC is responsible for transportation planning in Greene, Miami and Montgomery Counties and parts of northern Warren County. MVRPC's areawide water quality planning designation encompasses five (5) counties: Darke, Preble plus the three MPO counties.

Next Tuesday, MVRPC will host a virtual public meeting from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. via Zoom regarding the FINAL DRAFT of the Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) for Darke, Preble and Shelby counties. After a brief presentation featuring a summary of the RTIP and how to comment, MVRPC staff will accept comments and answer questions. Details at rtpo.mvrpc.org.

Parts of I-75 will be under major construction in Moraine between SR 725 and US 35 and in Dayton?between SR 4?and Needmore Rd. Reconstruction in Moraine is expected to be completed by Summer 2025 while, reconstruction in Dayton is expected to be completed in Summer 2027. For more information visit miamivalleyroads.org.?

The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission is pleased to present the Regional Resiliency Guidebook & Toolkit. This tool is designed to help local jurisdictions and community partners understand their risks to natural hazards, identify assets and vulnerabilities, and develop best practices to better protect community assets. The guidebook and toolkit are the culmination of the disaster recovery work related to the 2019 Memorial Day tornadoes funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and developed in partnership with Sasaki & Associates with support from Laurie Johnson Consulting and Human Nature.
