South Florida’s VC activity might have seen a dip in Q2 2024, but there’s still plenty to be optimistic about! Fintech startups like Majority and FundKite raised standout rounds, showcasing the region’s resilience. With South Florida contributing 47% of Florida’s overall VC total, and early-stage investments remaining strong nationwide, there's momentum building. Florida's venture capital scene is thriving, with $2.1 billion raised across 332 deals in the first half of 2024. Leading the charge is the fintech sector, which secured $408 million across 47 deals, primarily in Miami and Miami Beach.
