Today, Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department Director Roy Coley, MBA ? WaterGuy ???? had the pleasure of giving City of Hialeah Municipal Government Council President Jesus Tundidor, MBA behind-the-scenes tour of our historic Hialeah Water Treatment Plant. From its beginnings in 1925 as the largest well-water softening plant in the nation, to its continued operation as a cornerstone of Miami-Dade’s water system, the Hialeah plant has been a testament to innovation and resilience. With a current capacity of 60 million gallons per day, this facility is a vital part of how we ensure high-quality water reaches our community every day.
