Our Chief Heat Officer Jane Gilbert recently spoke at the NASA Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team conference on how NASA data informed #OurCounty's Heat Vulnerability Assessment! ?? ?? Learn more about the Heat Vulnerability Assessment Report here: https://lnkd.in/gcZB7tbd
Thank you NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team for inviting Christopher Uejio and me to share how NASA data informed our Heat Vulnerability Assessment which allowed us to target investments in public education, trainings, health home improvements and tree planting in areas with the highest rates of heat related illnesses. I also learned a lot about how air quality and light pollution are impacting the health and quality of life in communities with great new data from TEMPO, NASA's first Earth Venture Instrument Mission to help address these rising health and economic risks. #ExtremeHeat #DataInformedDecisionmaking Miami-Dade County Office of Resilience Florida State University
