A Collaborative Quality Initiative dedicated to improving the quality of care for hospitalized medical patients.
关于我们
The Michigan Hospital Medicine Safety Consortium (HMS) is a data-driven collaborative designed to provide the infrastructure needed to facilitate information sharing to support Michigan hospitals in improving patient safety and the quality of care for hospitalized medical patients. The Consortium’s goal is to improve the quality of care for hospitalized medical patients who are at risk for adverse events and aims to do this via consortium building, tool and process refinement, evaluating and understanding current practice, implementing improvement strategies, and evaluating change over time. HMS has three current initiatives and two retired initiatives. Our current initiatives include Antimicrobial Use, Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC)/Midline, and Sepsis. Our retired initiatives include MiCOVID-19 and the Venous Thromboprophylaxis Initiative. Support for HMS is provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network as part of the BCBSM Value Partnerships program. Although Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and HMS work collaboratively, the opinions, beliefs, and viewpoints expressed by the author do not necessarily reflect the opinions, beliefs, and viewpoints of BCBSM or any of its employees.
