The Michigan chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) will hold its annual conference on April 3 and 4, 2025 at The Henry in Dearborn! Happy Valentine's Day - 2025 HISTORY In the 14th and 15th centuries, Valentine’s Day became the annual holiday tradition that we are now most familiar with.?The day was recorded as the celebration of the Feast of Saint Valentine on February 14 and became associated with romantic love when notions of?courtly love?flourished, apparently by association with the "lovebirds" of early spring. In 18th-century England, it grew into an occasion for couples to express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery (sugars and chocolates), and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). ?
