We're FIRED UP to share that five CMU College of the Arts and Media students were recently awarded scholarships from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters! ?? The award-winners pictured are: Sarah Kelly, Ella Pierzecki, Megan Hart, and Aaron Moore. All four are recipients of the $1,000 Peter B. Orlik scholarship (Peter is pictured 2nd from right). ??? Megan was also awarded the $5,000 John D. Dingle Journalism scholarship and the $1,000 Charles D. Medford Broadcasting scholarship. Alayna Jones (not pictured) won a third-place special talent award for $1,000. Congratulations to the winners!

The Michigan Association of Broadcasters has announced winners and finalists for its 2024 Broadcast Excellence Awards. I'm extremely pumped and proud to say our TV6 & FOX UP team exceeded our record performance from last year. We won 27 total awards and are a finalist for Station of the Year! We swept 10 of the 20 categories: Breaking News, Newscast, Weathercast, Continuing Coverage, News Anchor, News Reporter, OTT Content, Photojournalist, Sports Feature or Series and Sportscast.
