I had the pleasure to moderate a panel at the yearly conference on insurance InsureTek yesterday in Dubai, with stellar leaders in the space.
Sharing key trends and insights discussed:
As software and AI continue to eat the world, and revolutionize virtually every aspect of our lives, it is equally reshaping how we administer health, life, and wellbeing benefits, driving innovation, and raising societal, and economic questions along the way. Here’s what our panelists shared:
- An increasing need from individuals and employer customers to bring the best for their lives, families, and people. Very much in line with rising personal and organizational wellbeing expectations; challenging payers more and more to play a key role as end-to-end partners with their customers vs merely financial players. (Read smooth customer experience, personalized benefits, and preventive measures).
- Software continues to take center stage in reshaping all aspects of health and life insurance across the member journey: from buying policies, and managing them, to direct and smooth communication between payer and member, and accuracy and operational efficiency; allowing insurers and people to bring and obtain the best respectively, while keeping it cost-effective.
- And last but not least, design thinking in offering health, wellbeing, and life benefits, as a way to keep the consumer psychology and needs at the center of everything we do. Including technology. Design first, everything follows.
