Director of Operations Alexandra Morey was recently featured in SevenFifty discussing holiday buying trends. The article highlights No and Low-alcohol beverages taking the holidays by storm: "Younger drinkers engage in more ‘tempo drinking’ [avoiding alcohol certain days of the week]. Low-alcohol beverages have done an incredible job building their brands in a short period of time." Consumers may also seek out lower-ABV sherries, vermouths, and amaros, for example, this holiday season. For the wine category as a whole, Alexandra predicts consumers are increasingly focused on what’s in the bottle, often turning to organic and biodynamic options. “We’ve seen consumers looking into the wine fermentation, sulfites, and filtering processes,” she says. “They generally want less additives and are willing to pay more for it.” MHW is proud to hold an organic import certification and help clients navigate the new organic certification and labeling process. Another incredible year at Bar Convent Berlin with MHW! It was great to catching up with our clients and partners, and meet new brands interested in exporting to the US and EU. I am very grateful to work with such an amazing and talented team. Thank you Alexandra Morey, Misha Monticciolo, Cassidy Poe and David Rodriguez for making this BCB experience the best one yet! And special shout out to Cassidy for handling our stand build and Brigid Mannarino (McCabe) for managing our meeting schedules to make sure we stayed busy throughout the entire show (you were there with us in spirit). I personally had over 20 meetings so look forward to reconnecting with everyone once I am back in New York. Now off to Amsterdam and Paris!
