?????????????????????? ?????????? ???????? The MHTN team embarked on a 5.5-hour journey to Hovenweep National Monument to support the?DesignBuild Bluff?program. Led by the University of Utah’s Graduate School of Architecture, this initiative collaborates with rural and Native communities in San Juan County, Utah’s Four Corners region. Each year, graduate students design a home for a Navajo family during the spring and bring it to life in the fall with help from local partners and volunteers. This year, our team contributed by installing wood siding, windows, and a metal roof. ???????? ?????? ?????? ?????????? With the Holiday season around the corner, Acts of Service month is also approaching. The MHTN Well-being team organized a service project with TINY TIM'S FOUNDATION FOR KIDS, a non-profit Utah organization that crafts toy cars for children in less fortunate parts of the world. Our team proudly contributed to the 20-step creation process by sanding and oiling 200 wooden toy cars that will journey on to bring joy and smiles to children around the globe. The team designed and built a recreation of Utah’s state flag as our take on this year’s theme, “I-CAN-ic Utah,” made entirely from cans of food, all of which will be donated to the Utah Food Bank to support local families in need. Smith Ranch Regional Park in Eagle Mountain is now a fully inclusive recreation space, designed to honor its legacy of serving children with adaptive needs. Responding to a growing demand for recreational activities, the city added a new skateboard park and an X-treme Ninja Course, making it a vibrant hub for families and friends to connect and play. We paddled through the Jordan River to remove debris. Amid a muddy yet rewarding canoe journey, our volunteers retrieved surprising items, including a chair, a bicycle, a laundry basket, various shoes, sports balls, and significant amounts of plastic. Every piece collected is a step toward preserving this urban resource's natural beauty and health. The Jordan River flows from Utah Lake to the Great Salt Lake, gathering trash from surrounding communities. We encourage everyone who enjoys the Jordan River Trail to help by picking up litter—small actions can make a big difference in protecting this ecosystem.
