Date ?? 12 November 2024 at 12:00 UTC Register ?? https://bit.ly/3YPyQAo Organised by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) MHPSS Reference Group’s Thematic Working Group on DRR and Climate Crisis. Since 2018, the working group has sought to champion and support this area of work, through developing global guidance and resources for use, as well as seeking to share learning from promising initiatives that can inform practice. This event aims to: - Highlight the value of operationalizing MHPSS in all phases of Disaster Risk Management (DRM) in the context of climate-related hazards and crises - Strengthen knowledge among humanitarian and development actors on MHPSS tools and resources to address the increasing impacts of climate change before, during and after emergencies - Showcase case studies from Indonesia and Afghanistan, demonstrating how organizations are prioritizing MHPSS preparedness actions in response to climate-related hazards
