I just found out about a friend of mine receiving a very important award at the Minnesota Health Care Engineers Conference the past week. I couldn't have been happier for her, but also was sad that I was not there to see her receive this award. I have known Amanda Swanson, CHFM Swanson for over 15 years and have had the opportunity to see her grow, first, under the tutelage of another great friend of mine, Glenn Mattson and then when she earned the right to take over his role at Mayo Red Wing. She took on that responsibility with great pride and enthusiasm, but also to see her soar within the ASHE and MHCEA Leadership was something to behold. She is a great Mom, Wife, Friend, Professional and I couldn't have been prouder to be in her circle of life. Great job Amanda, you earned every bit of this award.
