We are very excited to share that Hoffman’s newly renovated Equipment Yard is open and we are now able to serve more clients, more efficiently than ever before. Our primary facility at the yard met the end of its useful life, so in 2019 we began Phase 1 of a complete replacement. The new state-of-the-art facility includes a brand-new warehouse, shop, administrative offices, conference/training rooms, and parking lots. We also installed several sustainability features, including a 100kw rooftop solar array (which is generating at least 70% of the facility’s power), water bottle filling stations, and off-site manufacturing capabilities. This project represents our company’s single largest investment - and we are proud that it’s in Portland, where Hoffman began, over 100 years ago. Feature Friday: Daimler Truck North America High Desert Proving Grounds In 2017, KNCC completed the first project with Daimler Truck North America – a state-of-the-art, custom-built test track and campus complex in Madras, Oregon. The 31,395 sf facility is situated on an 87-acre campus and allows for comprehensive testing as well as driving simulations of their vehicles. This expansive project won 1st place in the Industrial Category in the 2018 DJC Top Projects awards and set the foundation for years of future projects with Daimler Truck North America. February 2023 KNCC+Outlier was selected by the ASHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT 5 to provide CM/GC services on the Ashland High School Modernization project. Fast forward to today and our team is excited for the next big milestone of installation of gunite concrete walls and elevated drag beams on the Humanities facility. In preparation for gunite placement, our crews have been working closely with design and special inspectors to ensure all check points have been met, verified, documented, and logged with the appropriate AHJ. So much heavy lifting has taken place to reach this point (literally). To think that one month from today, all of this reinforcing steel will be encapsulated for eternity is both bitter and sweet. None of this would be possible without the continued support of the ASHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT 5 staff and excellent team leadership of Chris Brown with ARKITEK: DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE LLC , Scott Miller with MFIA Inc. In Tigard, exciting progress is being made at the Hampton Street Apartments, as installation of Equitone panels has begun on the south elevation of this new five-story complex. The development will feature 55 housing units, with a ground floor dedicated to commercial space. Residents can look forward to amenities such as a club room on the fifth floor and an outdoor terrace. Sustainability is a priority, with plans for a net-zero-energy building, rooftop solar panels, and energy-efficient windows.
