A great time was had by everyone at the 2025 MFDA Economic Forecast Dinner on Jan 30th at the historic Fraunces Tavern in NYC. MFDA members heard from ITR Economics' Lauren Saidel-Baker about the growth ITR is forecasting for the economy in 2025 and 2026, but also how inflation is not going to go away anytime soon. Lauren also talked about ITR's predictions for the next depression to occur in in the early 2030's but also said that we should “be ready to invest at the trough of this cycle. This is going to be the greatest wealth generating event… of our lifetime.” Thank you to MFDA members Brighton-Best International, Kanebridge Corporation, Lindfast Solutions Group, and Fall River Manufacturing for sponsoring the dinner! This was a great (but cold) experience this past weekend. Folks dropped off toys continuously from 9am to 2pm! Not only large organizations with truckloads of toys, but individuals, couples, and families who each had a toy or two to drop off. No drone sightings but I had a great time working with fellow MFDA volunteers and officers from the Orange and Paterson police departments.
Many thanks to Corey Magyar from Smith Associates and Dan Pererira from Fastener Solutions, Inc., who joined Rob Rundle from R.W. Rundle Associates and members of the Orange and Paterson police departments on Saturday to help the US Marines collect toys at their drop off event at Picatinny Arsenal. The group helped fill over 7 U-Hauls with toys that were then taken onto the base and loaded into the Tots for Tots warehouse, where they will be going out to needy children this Christmas. The Marines of Golf Company help distribute over 100,000 toys each holiday season! A new MFDA tradition is born!

The 26th annual MFDA Toys for Tots Drive was a big success, culminating in our annual Toys For Tots dinner on December 3rd. MFDA members not only donated hundreds of toys but also raised over $6000 which the US Marine Corps will use to purchase toys for children who typically do not have items dropped off for them (teenagers & infants). Happy Holidays to everyone from your friends in the MFDA!
