Constructing a stronger future The good news for east central Missouri is the Lincoln County Fair is on a mission to provide opportunities to help young people develop life skills, promote animal skills and career development and grow as individuals. The better news is that they've been succeeding! Over the past years, participation in livestock projects has outgrown the fair's livestock facilities—with some 371 exhibitors last year. The MFA Charitable Foundation recently awarded a grant to contribute to a two-stage project combining a new show arena and upgrades to livestock barns. When completed, the upgrades will provide area youth with a better environment to learn and showcase their livestock skills. Pictured from left to right are:? MFA’s agronomy research trials provide new insights to improve production for farmers across the territory. Each year MFA Agronomy conducts research on agricultural products including everything from chemicals to planting, to fertilizer techniques from new to proven. The results gained from these trials not only test the products but offer advice to our customers throughout the growing season. The agronomy team discussed some of the results in yesterday's Made for Agriculture Podcast but MFA research agronomist Garrett Imhoff goes over the results of the 2024 replicated field trials in greater detail here: https://lnkd.in/gznPC5yf.
