Please visit the link below to view videos of a recent conference at St. Mary’s University, on San Antonio’s historic Westside parishes. Thank you to Jason King and colleagues for this important work! www.stmarytx/west-side-parish-project
Pleased to promote the work of Jason King and colleagues at the Center for Catholic Studies of St. Mary’s University. Read more and view recordings of their recent symposium, “San Antonio and Texas Católico: Westside Parishes Project” at www.stmarytx/west-side-parish-project. “…these parishes are more than historic landmarks–they are living institutions that have shaped and have been shaped by generations of Mexican American Catholics” - writes Dr. King for Today’s Catholic this week.

MACC Community Answers the Call to Transformation On this Ash Wednesday, the MACC community came together in faith, bringing our stones as a sign of our willingness to let go of hardened hearts and open ourselves to God’s healing and love. As Ezekiel reminds us: “I will remove the heart of stone from your bodies and give you a heart of flesh instead.” (Ez 36:26) To our MACC community, please know that we are praying for you during this sacred season. May this time of Lent bring you renewal, grace, and a deepened commitment to your spiritual journey. #somosmacc #AshWednesday #JourneyOfConversion

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for MACC’s Cultura Catòlica Day! Your presence, energy, and engagement made the event truly special! A special thank you to Dr. Hansol Goo from Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary for her incredibly insightful presentation on Mary, Our Mother. Her talk gave us a deeper appreciation for Marian art, helping us open our eyes to the beauty of the many ways artists depict Mary across different cultures and traditions. Through her reflections, we were invited to see beyond the canvas and recognize how art can deepen our faith and bring out emotion. We are also incredibly grateful for our partnership with Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary—your support helps make events like this possible. Thank you all, and we look forward to more moments of faith, learning, and community together! #somosmacc #csbsju #culturacatòlicaday #community

?? Faith Beyond Borders: A Reflection by Andrenique D. Rolle ?? We are proud to share an inspiring blog post by Andrenique D. Rolle, from Saint John's School of Theology and Seminary. She serves as the President of SOT Student Government, a Graduate Assistant for the Obsculta Preaching Initiative, and a Blog Assistant for PrayTellBlog – Worship, Wit & Wisdom. Her blog highlights her transformative experience at MACC through the Hispanic Ministry in the 21st Century Workshop—made possible by the grant “Sustained Encuentro: Accompanying One Another on the Way,” which strengthens the partnership between MACC and Saint John’s. Andrenique embarked on a journey of deep faith, cultural immersion, and social awareness. She participated in the border immersion trip, where she gained firsthand insight into migration, identity, and faith. Her experience also included attending Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle and reflecting on Marian imagery in connection with immigrants' journeys. Read her full reflection on PrayTellBlog - Worship, Wit & Wisdom and join us in celebrating the ways faith connects us beyond borders! https://lnkd.in/gBYJ_qXx #FaithBeyondBorders #somosmacc #csbsju #HispanicMinistry #Community
