Im grünen Quartier St. Alban in Basel wurde ein Fu?g?ngersteg errichtet, der nicht nur funktional, sondern auch architektonisch beeindruckt. Die dreiachsige, elegante Konstruktion führt leicht schr?g über den historischen St. Alban-Teich – ein Kanal, der seit dem 12. Jahrhundert eine wichtige Rolle für die Stadt spielt und heute das Stadtbild pr?gt. Im Auftrag der Stadtg?rtnerei Basel realisierte Marti AG den Bau dieses 23 m langen und 3,5 m breiten übergangs mit h?chster Sichtbetonqualit?t und einem Mix aus glatten Oberfl?chen und Holzmaserungen. In the mining town of Onaping, Ontario, the historic Glencore Craig Mine underwent a major transformation with the ambitious Onaping Depth Project. This USD 700 million expansion aimed to reach unprecedented depths, securing high-grade nickel ore production for years to come. TESC Contracting Company, a local industrial and mining contractor, was responsible for the concrete work in one of the mine’s three chambers, each spanning 15m by 20m and reaching 10m high. Due to the unique demands of the project, MevaLite formwork became the ideal solution. ?????? ???????????????? ?????? ?????? ?????????? ????????????: ? ?????????????????????? ????????????: At under 6 psf, MevaLite panels were easily transported down the 4,000-ft shaft and assembled by hand in tight quarters, where crane access was limited. ? ???????????????? ???? ???????????? ?????? ????????????????: With a pour rating of 1,350 psf, the system held strong as concrete was pumped down 4,000 ft in multiple stages, enabling pours of up to 21 ft high for walls and columns. ? ???????? & ????????????????: With tie bars located on the back and a range of panel widths, MevaLite’s design allowed it to meet the demanding specifications of the underground environment. Pumping concrete down such a depth required efficiency to avoid cold joints and ensure structural integrity. MevaLite’s design helped streamline the placement process, keeping concrete moving smoothly throughout the stages of the pour. The Metro til Nordhavn station project in Copenhagen brought unique engineering challenges, including constructing a viaduct and cut-and-cover tunnel to meet Denmark’s strict building standards. Following revised Danish standards (DS2427), which impose heightened safety requirements compared to the European norm, the MEVA engineering team undertook extensive planning and coordination to support this complex project. ??? ?????????????? ???????? ?????????????????? ???? ???????????? ?????? ?????????????????? In close consultation with all stakeholders, MEVA’s engineering team prepared 127 detailed plans within six months for the 234-meter-long viaduct. Reinforced V-shaped supports required precise single-cycle pours to eliminate concrete joints, using MEP shoring towers with custom wooden formwork on top, designed as pre-assembled tables. ?? ???????????????????? ???? ?????? ??????????????: ? ?????????????????????????? ???????????????? ??????????????: The principal and architects required a striking concrete finish on the viaduct’s underside. A full test pour using AluStar and StarTec systems convinced all parties of the quality. ? ???????????????? ???????????? ??????????: Danish standards required double the horizontal load resistance of European standards. MEVA installed MEP shoring towers on thick steel plates with additional reinforcement to address low frictional resistance. ? ??????-??????-?????????? ????????????: The 144-meter tunnel involved single-sided formwork with the STB 450 support frame to manage the substantial horizontal load generated by a 6% gradient and 90 cm slab thickness. ?? ???? ??????????, ???????? ???????????????? ?????? ?????????? ?????? ??,?????? ?????????? ???? ???????????????????? ????????????????????????. The new luxury residential complex “Living by the Shore of Lake Constance” offers exactly that in a picturesque landscape, with two of the eight housing blocks built within the historic Bodan dockyard halls—now protected monuments. Building these three-storey blocks was no simple feat. Block 2 rests on pillars designed to preserve the dockyard’s historic rails and integrate with the iconic steel girders and wooden facades. The architects wanted each tenant to enjoy views from their apartment without obstruction, which led to a complex design—no right angles and a support structure with varied, twisted geometries. ?? ???????????? ?????? ???????????????????? ???????????????? To achieve this intricate layout, MEVA engineers developed detailed 3D models for each formwork part, allowing for precise planning and production. In November 2020, Horizon Concrete Construction began laying the foundation and concrete frame for The Ophelia, a ten-storey multi-family condominium in Kitchener, Ontario. Inspired by one of Victoria Park's resident swans, this Modern Miesian-style development posed complex challenges, including shear walls, columns, and cast-in-place slabs—all needing formwork capable of climbing ten stories. To tackle these requirements, Horizon selected four advanced MEVA systems: ?? ??????-?? (???????? ???????????? ???????????????? ????????????????): Ideal for high-rise formwork, the MGC-F allows platforms to be lifted with the formwork in place, minimizing labor and ensuring safe operations, even in high winds. With MEVA preassembling the foldable platforms, more units could be transported, saving setup time on-site. ?? ???????????????? ????????????: Lightweight and efficient, the MevaLite was used for the exterior shear walls and columns, fitting perfectly at 2.75m per panel. The lighter system allowed Horizon to avoid crane load capacity increases. ?? ???????????? ???? ???????? ????????????????: Seeking a labor-saving solution for the interior shear walls, Horizon became the first company in North America to use Mammut XT. Its one-sided tying significantly reduced labor and cycling time. ?? ???????? ?????????????? ??????????????????: MEVA’s custom-designed landing platforms simplified material handling as Horizon cycled formwork and rebar up the ten-storey building.
