Congratulations Rally for the Y Cyclists, Swimmers, and Runners! Throughout the month of February, we were able to have a successful Rally involving more than 100 participants! We cycled more than 5,600 miles, swam more than 9,000 laps, ran more than 200 miles, AND all in, we raised more than $30,000 for our Y’s Annual Campaign- finishing second in the country. With our Annual Campaign, we are able to continue offering our Parkinson’s Program at no cost to our 91 participants, provide 1,200+ meals a day and groceries to children families in our community, support families with scholarship assistance for children in our Early Learning Center, Out of School Time, and/or Summer Camp, and so much more. With your help, we are stronger together- supporting children and families when they need us most.

We’re surrounded by so many inspiring people in our community, including the incredible Team Hoyt duo, Brendan Aylward and Jacob Wyman! Because of their determination, resilience, and heart-warming bond, it was an honor to present them with the 2025 Inspiration Award at our Marathon Community Breakfast. Brendan, Executive Director of the nonprofit AdaptX and Founder/Owner of Unified Health and Performance, along with his close friend Jacob, have completed 100 races together with Brendan pushing Jacob in a custom-built Hoyt Running Chair. We look forward to witnessing their continued journey as they break barriers, push limits, and inspire others to turn the impossible into possible! ??

Last week at our Marathon Community Breakfast, we had the honor of presenting Tim Kilduff, founder and president of the 26.2 Foundation, with the 2025 Inspiration Award! ?? The MetroWest YMCA Inspiration Award is presented to individuals who inspire others through their remarkable physical achievements, philanthropy, and contributions to the running community. Tim served as the Boston Marathon race director from 1983-84 and played a pivotal role in saving the event during a time of crisis. His contributions over the years have helped elevate the Marathon to the level of respect and prestige it holds today, and his unwavering leadership and dedication continue to inspire our community!

This morning we hosted our annual Marathon Community Breakfast! Congratulations to our Inspiration Award Honorees, Tim Kilduff and Team Hoyt Duo – Brendan Aylward & Jacob Wyman! Thank you to everyone who supported us and our community. Special thank you to our Emcee Josh Brogadir, Patricia Duarte, Regina Marshall, State Senate President Karen Spilka, Reverand Emmett Price III, Mike DiDonato, The Brodeur Family, Visi Tilak, Usha Naryana, Rick Robinson, Jack Fleming, Dave McGillivray, Becca Pizzi, Russ and the Hoyt family, and Sunita Williams for being a part of this inspirational morning! ?? Meet Abby Biser! ?? We're excited to introduce our new Director of Changemaker Initiatives, Abby, who will be overseeing all of our teen-oriented programs. Abby is passionate about empowering young people and will be helping our teens build resiliency, confidence, and leadership skills that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to see the incredible impact she’ll make as she works alongside our youth to inspire growth, creativity, and positive change. Please join us in welcoming Abby!

We're grateful for another opportunity to visit the State House with Ys from across Massachusetts to meet with our local legislators and share the impact of Y programs in the MetroWest!
