At Metropolitan Steel, we don’t just talk about hard work—we live it. Our crews recently tackled a critical project on Lake Shore Drive, replacing deteriorated jack beams, repairing floorbeams, and installing counterweights to keep the bridge properly balanced. This wasn’t a clean job. Grinding, cutting, and welding through decades of wear and tear, our team faced the elements head-on, getting their hands (and everything else) dirty to keep Chicago’s infrastructure strong. Steel work isn’t for the faint of heart, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Huge respect to the crew who put in the time, effort, and skill to get it done.
