We’re expanding to Pinellas County! Leaders and community members joined us to celebrate a powerful collaboration. ? A heartfelt thank you to Jennifer Yeagley of the St. Petersburg Free Clinic and David Jezek of the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg for partnering with us to help more families transition from crisis to stability, dignity, and self-sufficiency. Special appreciation to Amy Foster with the City of St. Petersburg for her role in jumpstarting this initiative. We’re also grateful to our host, Jeff Brandes for his leadership and hospitality, as well as the entire Metropolitan Ministries Pinellas Leadership Council. ? Through this partnership, SPFC will provide two housing sites along with nutritious food and health services for families in need. Metropolitan Ministries will oversee programming at both locations, offering stable housing, counseling, education, and career development services. Additionally, our collaboration with the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg will provide vital childcare and educational programs for the children in our care. ? Our CEO Tim Marks often says, “Nothing good at Metro happens without our community,” and this partnership is a testament to that truth. Community collaboration is key to making a lasting impact, and we are excited for the work ahead in St. Pete. ? Stay tuned for updates as we continue bringing Hope Doing More to Pinellas County!

Before I dive into this post, I want to take a moment to express how amazing God is. His faithfulness is truly inspiring—when we are faithful over a few things, He will bless us with many. I am incredibly grateful for how far He has brought not only me but my entire family. Now, let’s talk about this picture. I attended a networking event at the Central Club in Tampa Westshore, where I had the opportunity to hear from the CEO of Metropolitan Ministries. During the Q&A session, my spirit urged me to speak up. With only a minute left, I raised my hand, my heart racing. I shared that in 1996, my family moved to Tampa with just one garbage bag of clothes for the four of us—my two siblings and my mother. We found ourselves at Metropolitan Ministries, where we experienced warmth and support during our first months in Tampa. Even before the new building, Metropolitan felt like home. At just five or six years old, those months were some of the best of my life. It was a place where I felt seen and cared for, and it shaped how I viewed the world. Programs like Metropolitan Ministries make a profound difference in the lives of children, allowing them to dream and imagine a better future. When I finished speaking, the table erupted in applause, and the CEO invited me to connect further. Moments like this remind us that we should never hold back, even if we’re afraid. Sharing our stories is powerful—it’s essential to let others know where we’ve been and where we’re headed. Thank you, Tim Marks, and the entire Metropolitan Ministries team, for your incredible work in the community. You’ve given me the foundation to dream big and build a six-figure business, and I truly don’t know where I would be without your support since I first arrived in Tampa. From Homeless to Hopeful: Mahogany’s Journey Mahogany, a single mother of three, came to Metro’s Pasco campus after living in her car with her daughters. Determined to create a better future, she worked tirelessly with our Adult Education team, completing her high school diploma while also enrolling in phlebotomy classes. Today, Mahogany is a high school graduate and a Florida state-licensed phlebotomist—now employed with Assisting Hands! Her journey is a testament to resilience, hard work, and the power of hope. #HopeDoesMore #TransformationStory
