Today we celebrated Avelo Airlines' first flight from Knoxville (TYS) to New Haven, CT (HVN)! “McGhee Tyson Airport has seen significant passenger growth over the past year as airlines continue to recognize our region as a growing vacation destination,” said Patrick Wilson, president of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority.?“With the addition of Avelo Airlines to our market, we look forward to welcoming travelers from the New Haven and Tri-State area to all the adventures our region has to offer.?Avelo will also provide an affordable option for East Tennessee travelers looking to reach destinations ranging from New York to Boston from New Haven.”
