At MetroPlusHealth, we proudly follow in their footsteps. Our workforce, leadership, and C-suite are made stronger by women who bring unique perspectives and guide us toward a more equitable future. New Yorkers, did you know NYC is facing its most severe flu outbreak in a decade? ?? With over 22,000 confirmed cases and a 47% increase in flu-related ER visits compared to last year, the 2025 flu season is shaping up to be one of NYC's worst in years. Hospitalizations continue to surge, with more than 3,100 flu-related admissions statewide in early February. Vaccination rates remain below 40% citywide, despite this season's H3N2 strain showing resistance to some treatments. Health officials strongly urge residents to get vaccinated immediately—it's not too late. ?? Dr. Julie Myers, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, spoke with Parade magazine about the most important vaccines to get, especially if you're 50 or older. Read it here: https://bit.ly/3Dj0vSu Remember that washing your hands for at least 20 seconds helps stop the spread, and stay home if you experience fever, fatigue, or other flu symptoms.
