关于我们
For over 60 years, MBMA and its manufacturing members have worked together as partners to further its mission: to conduct research, to help advance building codes and standards, and to educate the construction community. Our passion is to support a strong, sustainable metal building systems industry that meets the needs of owners and the overall society. Metal building systems are far more sophisticated today than they were a decade ago; and due to MBMA’s leading edge research programs, further evolution is not far down the road. MBMA has invested heavily in engineering technology, fabrication concepts, structural improvements, and building quality. As a result, buildings today are far better in terms of cost, strength, function, and aesthetics. Through these innovations, we are moving the industry to a higher level and helping to position the industry for long-term growth and greater acceptance. Metal is the solution for most low-rise buildings. - See more at: https://www.mbma.com.

The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) has a new frequently asked questions (FAQ) sheet on building information (BIM) modeling for metal building systems. These FAQs answer a number of important questions about BIM. These include: What does my metal building manufacturer need to know about my BIM project? What do I need to know when bidding a job with BIM requirements? What is different about managing a project that uses BIM? What other resources are available to me if I want to learn more about BIM? And more! Download it at https://lnkd.in/gvzWa2mX #BIM #MetalBuildings #LevelOfDevelopment?

“Cladding for Durability” is a continuing education webinar sponsored by the Metal Construction Association (MCA). Specifying metal cladding for roof and siding can prove ideal in retrofits and is good opportunity for architects and designers to improve the overall durability and, ultimately, sustainability of a building. This AIA-approved webinar will explore several real-world retrofit projects that have included metal as an architectural feature for beauty and as a material meant to seriously defend the building from anything Mother Nature might throw at it. This course, which offers 1 AIA learning unit, is presented by D.J. Tony Bouquot, general manager at the Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA), has a new article in Parks and Rec Business magazine. “Built to Last - Defining and designing resilient recreation structures,” takes a deep dive into one of the newest recreation centers in Los Angeles, the Michelle and Barack Obama Sports Complex. The complex, completed in 2022, has two buildings––a 20,225-square-foot structure that houses an Olympic-size indoor pool, and a 16,232-square-foot gymnasium. It is representative of a growing interest in using metal building systems to meet an array of financial and functional needs in parks and recreations facilities.
