Today we remember and honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. As a tribute to the victims and first responders lost, Mesa Water staff created a video reflecting on the impact of this day and to thank Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue and Costa Mesa Police Department for their unwavering commitment to keeping our city safe. Let us remember, not just the tragedy, but the profound acts of heroism and unity that emerged from it. #NeverForget https://lnkd.in/gtn8d769

“Looking forward, we have to ask ourselves, what could the next local water supply source be?” Mesa Water District General Manager Paul Shoenberger provided an update on a new local water supply feasibility study at today’s MWDOC Planning & Operations Committee meeting. The local Supply Improvement Project, or ‘Local SIP,’ will explore the benefits of local brackish groundwater desalination as a future water supply source for Orange County. The study is an effort in partnership with Mesa Water District and other MWDOC member agencies, such as Orange County Water District, City of Newport Beach, and City of Huntington Beach. #OCisWaterSmart #localwater #reliability
