Okay, I wish we could take credit for this nice reception area at Bishop Schools new middle school in Lawton, but this was the school's doing. Originally, we'd configured just four Global Furniture Group's Caprice guest chairs for this area. As seen in one of our previous posts, we went all out on furnishing their Innovation Center with occasional tables, soft seating, and bistro tables. The staff had the idea of placing some of these items in the reception area instead, and this is the result. In addition to the Caprice chairs, Global furniture Group's River Plus stools are shown, placed next to Global's Zira laminate series round occasional table. Show between the Caprice chairs are Global's standard height Swap Tables. If the staff at Bishop ever decides to get out of the teaching business, they have a career waiting for them in design work. Academia's solid plastic trapezoidal top is shown on their "Petal" series, with a red frame and boots to coordinate with their school colors. Academia's "Zed" series of classroom chairs with cantilever legs fir nicely on top of the desks when not in use. Academia's "Nate" series teacher's double pedestal desk features a total of four box drawers and two file drawers. We like using Academia's "Illustration V2" tables as a computer workstation for a full-sized monitor and CPU such as this. Should a day arrive when they no longer desire a computer station at the teacher's desk, then this workstation may be used for most anything else. Happy New Year from the Merrifield Team!

The new Bishop Middle School in Lawton feature's four of Custom Educational Furnishings (CEF) Idea Islands, with "Dogbone White" high pressure laminate, and red frame and banding to match their Bulldog colors. A fifth Idea Island features a chemical resistant surface, for projects involving caustic chemicals. All five of the tables feature heavy duty casters, as well as built-in magnets to securely hold the stools in place when not in use. Very Merry Christmas from the Merrifield team!

With the arrival of Amtab's logo tables, Vian's new High School Commons Area is complete. ?On this project, we incorporated Amtab's height adjustable EZ-Tilt tables with logos, and their four stool Socializer table. Palmer Hamilton's logo trash receptacles are placed at the two main entrances. Global Furniture Group's River Plus soft seating is featured, as well as their semi-circle seating and counter unit. Global's Popcorn series of chairs and stools provide the bistro seating. This area has become a source of pride for the students and has seen constant use. WB has access to numerous laminate manufacturers, so we had a perfect match on WB islands and storage cabinets, with the built in wall and base cabinets that were part of construction.
