Last week we wrapped up our first US-based GenAI workshop in Manhattan! After running 4 successful sessions in India last year, taking this show global has been incredible. We dived into LLM foundations, prompt engineering, and cutting-edge concepts like reasoning models and agentic AI systems. The best part? Breaking down the actual mechanics behind the buzzwords and seeing those "aha" moments happen in real-time. What struck me most was how our diverse group of Merkle and dentsu colleagues brought such varied perspectives to the discussions. Those conversations have already sparked ideas for new collaborations across teams. Special thanks to our Databricks partners who joined us to share insights on where the field is headed. And of course, the Manhattan experience - great food, beautiful office space, and meeting colleagues Nathan, Jas, Soumitra and Kate in person after months of Teams calls! One thing I've learned from these workshops: companies that invest in developing in-house AI expertise (rather than relying solely on external edtech vendors) are positioning themselves miles ahead.
