We are extremely proud of our branch team and the top-notch service and friendly, welcoming environment they create for our clients. Today we'd like to introduce you to 2 of our Branch Banking Specialists: Samantha Hoffman joined us in early 2024 and brings more than 7 years of experience to our branch, providing excellent client service and building meaningful banking relationships. Her knowledge and experience have served her well at Merit, as she is able to help onboard and train new hires and lead the branch's commitment to culture, teamwork and most importantly - our clients. Samantha loves spending time with her family and giving back to local families with children who have complex medical needs, as this cause is near and dear to her heart. Hunter Kula recently joined Merit part-time, as he works to complete his final year at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, earning his Bachelors Degree in Business Management. After a recent internship in his hometown in Iowa, Hunter realized his passion for banking and was immediately drawn to the client-centered environment of a local community bank. Working around his studies, Hunter has proven himself a quick learner and committed to performing at a high level. We are excited for his potential! Continuing with this week's introductions, please meet Garrett Jose, our newest Credit Analyst. Garrett joined our branch banking team earlier this year - shortly after completing his Bachelors Degree in Finance from University of North Alabama - and immediately loved it. He was dependable, consistent, dedicated to learning anything and everything he could, and really impressed everyone with his sharpness and extremely pleasant attitude. Garrett's hard work paid off and he recently accomplished his goal of joining the credit team, where he is off to a tremendous start! We are thankful he chose Merit to kick start his banking journey. Garrett is a lifelong Huntsvillian and has really enjoyed watching our beautiful community grow. In his free time, he loves to bass fish, play tennis and spend time with friends and family. We'd like to introduce you to the dynamic duo behind our loan operations. Loan Operations Manager Anna Margaret Tidwell and Loan Operations Specialist Bethany Beavers work seamlessly together to handle all consumer regulatory disclosures, loan documentation, booking and servicing, all while continuously striving for excellence in accuracy and efficiency...AND the friendliest personalities! Our lending team knows they are in good hands with these two at the helm. Anna Margaret has a Bachelors of Business Administration from UNA and more than 7 years of specialized experience in loan processing, doc prep and managing processing and integration teams. Outside of work, she loves traveling (Hawaii + Japan!), cooking, golfing and going to the lake with friends. Bethany has a Bachelors of Business Administration from Athens State University and more than 9 years of banking experience in branch banking and management, operations and consumer lending. She is a new mom to a happy little boy and loves traveling, reading and hiking. We are extremely grateful for Anna Margaret and Bethany. We are excited to announce the addition of Christy Hall as Branch Manager for Merit Bank. Christy brings with her more than 30 years of experience in banking, specializing in branch operations and management for many years. She began her career as a Teller and worked through various promotions up to Retail Market Manager and Senior Relationship Banker. Christy is a distinguished producer whose heart is in branch banking and she is ready to lead our team's mission of providing the top-notch service we are known for! Christy was born and raised in Huntsville and well-known in the industry and in our community. She loves hiking with her kids, music trivia and is a huge Star Wars fan. WELCOME Christy!
