Gratitude is sharing in person time in an on-site summit with my Meridian Population Health team in our Detroit office! We discussed our expanded innovative clinical pod focus in an on-site summit. Our team consists of dedicated and passionate Community Health Workers, Nurses, Member Connections, Social Workers, Behavioral Health, Maternal Care and Foster Care specialists. On this Veterans Day, we thank the brave members of our community who served our country.

Last month, Meridian partnered with Cradle Kalamazoo for a doula workshop! Over 20 area doulas and birth workers came out to learn about services Meridian provides to support the birth work community and expecting parents, along with discussing ways to collaborate to ensure equitable birth outcomes. We also had food and raffles for everyone to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success! As we head into the colder temperatures, our Meridian team spent some time supporting Mittens for Detroit this month by helping sort dozens of mittens! These mittens will ensure children, teens, and adults across Detroit and other underserved cities will stay warm this winter. Last month, Meridian attended MIU Men's Health Foundation's annual Men's Health Event at Ford Field to provide information on our new telehealth provider, Ortele Health! Ortele connects people with PCPs, specialists, and mental health providers. Thousands of people attended the event, which included vitals screenings, labs, flu and COVID-19 vaccines, HIV testing, colorectal screenings, skin cancer screenings, eye exams, hearing tests, diabetes testing and more! #MeridianCares
