Alphonsine, a 59-year-old hat maker from #Madagascar, lived with a goiter for 20 years. Then in 2022, her heart sank when she noticed another, similar bump beginning to develop on her jaw. She could barely afford food, let alone a surgery. So when she heard about Mercy Ships, she traveled four days in pursuit of healing, carrying just her sandals, a single bag, and of course, her hat. Now, after a free, life-saving operation, Alphonsine plans to make even more hats, to help support her 12 grandchildren. #MercyShips

Cesar is one of many engineers that help keep Mercy Ships steaming ahead. The job can be intense at times, but through the power of Jesus, Cesar says he wakes up each day ready to work on the world’s largest #HospitalShip. “One of the Bible verses that sticks with me is Philippians 4:12-13. I know how to live with almost nothing or everything. I've learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it’s with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.
