Mercy Housing is committed to creating affordable housing, inclusive communities, and inspiring dreams.
关于我们
Mercy Housing is working to create a more humane world where poverty is alleviated, communities are healthy and all people can develop their full potential. We believe that affordable housing and supportive programs improve the economic status of residents, transform neighborhoods and stabilize lives. We provide affordable, program-enriched housing to a variety of people across the country, including low-income families, seniors and people with special needs. We acquire and renovate housing, as well as develop new properties. The majority of our homes are rental, but we also offer some homeownership opportunities in various communities.

As part of this year's?21st Annual Architecture + the City Festival, we invite you join us this Wednesday, September 11th from 1 - 3 PM, for the event "Affordable Housing Tour: Sunnydale’s New Community Center | HOPE SF." For tickets and more event details, visit: https://lnkd.in/eht2pmAy __ At the south edge of the city, Sunnydale HOPE SF is one of San Francisco’s biggest redevelopment projects, replacing WWII-era public housing with more than 1,770 new affordable and market-rate homes; new streets and infrastructure; 3.5 acres of new green space; and extensive retail and community uses. Opening in September, the new Sunnydale Community Center will be at the heart of this reimagined neighborhood and serve as a new gateway into McLaren Park. Combined with the adjacent Herz Recreation Center, the Community Center will form the core of a new campus that supports connections to nature and provides a safe, lively and nurturing environment. An inclusive hub for a diverse community, the Center will include a Wu Yee Children's Services child-care center and a Boys & Girls Club along with a range of shared neighborhood spaces—a community kitchen, multipurpose rooms, meeting rooms, and a recording studio. Project architects from LEDDY MAYTUM STACY Architects – Ian Ashcraft-Williams, AIA, NOMA and Sara Sepandar, AIA, LEED AP –?provide a facility tour as well as insight into the design and construction of the building, which used mass timber construction as an innovative, durable, low-carbon alternative to concrete and steel. There will also be a housing tour led by David Baker Architects. Note: The housing tour will be a hard-hat tour, with full PPE (personal protective gear) provided. Hard, closed-toed shoes are required. Construction is expected to finish in February 2025. __ Owners:?Mercy Housing, Related California , Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco, Wu Yee Children's Services Architecture:?#LeddyMaytumStacy Builder:?Swinerton?/?Timberlab Structural:?KPFF Consulting Engineers #communitycenter?#mclarenpark?#masstimberconstruction #masstimber #aiasf AIA San Francisco Center for Architecture + Design, San Francisco

We had an incredible time at the 2nd Annual Wellness Fair hosted for residents of #MercyHousingLakefront communities Colony Park and Marian Park! Through a generous grant from the DuPage Foundation, the event was a perfect chance to spotlight our amazing partners and the specialized programming they offer while enjoying a day full of smiles, dancing, and fun activities for residents of all ages?? Residents heard informative presentations from NAMI, Association for Individual Development, 988 Crisis Services, Northern Illinois Food Bank, and many more community partners who provide valuable resources, including the Police Department, Senior Services, and Veterans Affairs. Thank you Equal Learning Fund for your partnership in helping students get prepared for another successful year of learning and growing??
This year, over 800 students—every child living in a Mercy Housing building in Southern California under the age of 18—received backpacks and school supplies, thanks to our generous donors. Seeing the joy on their faces as they chose their backpacks and prepared for the school year was genuinely heartwarming. A big thanks to Kristen Hammer and Natalie Estrella for coordinating efforts to make this happen ?? #backtoschool #giving
