Merchants Capital recently provided a $335,510,000 Freddie Mac CME Permanent Loan for the rehabilitation of Manhattanville Houses—an existing development located in the neighborhood of West Harlem. The community consists of six buildings across a 12-acre lot, which provide a total of 1,272 units of affordable housing. Renovations will span every facet of the community—from upgrading homes with all-new appliances, countertops, and Wi-Fi capabilities, to installing a new security camera system throughout the property, complete with?new intercoms, access control systems, and ongoing security monitoring. The community will also see renovations to the existing community centers—childcare, senior, family/teen programming, and resident common area—as well as all buildings receiving new roofs, and modernized HVAC systems. The grounds will also receive new landscaping, benches, and lighting, as well as sidewalk and fence repairs.
