"Trust drives employee engagement and productivity." Brian Elliott wrote that. We agree. (See comments for the link.) And who creates trust in an organization? Managers. Managers with the resilience skills to take care of themselves and take care of their teams. Managers with the organizational support to take care of themselves and their teams. Our new book, "Build Better Managers," has 5 key actions to support managers' well-being and resilience—so they can build trust and drive growth. Check the comments for the link.

Thank you, Nicolas BEHBAHANI, for sharing meQ's research on manager resilience and workforce performance! Time and again, we see that key HR outcomes start and end with managers. See Nicolas' article here: https://lnkd.in/edwPBPyB Once folks have read the research, we have resources you can use right now to support managers. Check out "Managers in the Middle," a session on boosting manager resilience: https://lnkd.in/e9vmZ7E9 See the full report, "Build a Better Manager": https://lnkd.in/exiz-te5 Comment for more ways to start helping managers help themselves, their teams, and their organizations.

To be a manager is to walk a tightrope while juggling a soccer ball and playing Stairway to Heaven. Every. Day. So, ???? ????????????, you fall off, get hurt, leave the job. (Or, like Gen Z, decide never to get on the tightrope in the first place.) We looked into what organizations can do to protect and support manager well-being. It's not a million things. In fact, our research suggests it's just four. See the comments to see what they are.

Workforce change readiness is how businesses succeed through endless, unpredictable change, which is what we're all living through. Less clear? How to build it. And the truth is, mastering workforce change readiness is both harder and easier than it seems. Hard in that no single piece of new tech or systems change will get you there. Easier because the skills of change readiness are finite, and ones every employee can learn.

Three companies faced big problems with change readiness. No single piece of new tech or operating procedure helped solve the problem. Upgrading specific, finite skills of resilience did. Jan Bruce, meQ CEO, has the story on the skills for workforce change readiness. https://lnkd.in/eDu42eye

This is extraordinary and so hopeful! For managers, especially, institutional support for personal well-being and resilience improves life and work not just for the manager, but for every other employee that person supports, works with, reports to. Thank you for leading the way, Cori Davis & Genentech! Plus, evidence for the power of manager well-being: https://lnkd.in/e3uBTvPV

Do your managers know when to take a break? Do they have the support to? If not, they will suffer. So will their teams. And their organizations. Managers are 36% more likely to report feeling burned out. They're 24% more likely to report considering quitting their job in the next six months. Burned out, quitting managers do not lead to great business outcomes. Team incivility goes up. Productivity goes down. People start to quit. Managers need the skills and support for resilience more than ever. Our new research reveals strategies to help managers gain these skills—for themselves, their teams, and the business. Check the comments for the research and more. #managers
