The session grappled with the prevalent and critical need for changes at the systematic and policy levels to help youth build social capital, and to support career navigation and development.??? ? Yesterday, MENTOR Minnesota had the honor of hosting and convening with the Minnesota Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Dr. Houry (Deputy Director for Program and Science/Chief Medical Officer) as well as program partners to discuss our ongoing collaboration through Mental Health Ambassadors and preventing adverse childhood experiences (ACES). I enjoy mentoring! And my experience being a mentor to the great Alexandria Harp did not disappoint. Thanks to Dr. Monica Scamardo from Resource Global Austin who connected us. Fun fact, I actually met Ms. Harp over a decade ago. Goes to show that you never know how your paths will cross with the people you meet along your life journey.
