It was an honor to partner with the Toyota Portland Region during their annual SQS Roundtable this week. We shared an incredible day of knowledge exchange, interaction, and mentoring best practices.? ? We are grateful for the opportunity and look forward to lasting alignment in support of industry growth!? ? A special thanks to Brian Hebert and the entire Toyota Portland Region team for having us.? ? #Toyota #MentorMentee #Attract #Retain #MentorForTomorrow?
Seven years ago, the Toyota Portland Region embarked on a remarkable journey by launching the Service Quality Specialist (SQS) program. This initiative was designed to offer career advancement opportunities for highly engaged technicians while providing education and support that integrate both the business and technical aspects of service and dealership fixed operations. SQSs possess strong skills in diagnosing and repairing Toyota vehicles and have a thorough understanding of dealership operations, including Sales, Service, and Parts. They are also well-versed in Toyota's core principles and operations, particularly the "Fix It Right the First Time" (FRFT) protocol, and are dedicated to creating Toyota Advocates for Life. This week, the Toyota Portland Region partnered with MentorMentee for our annual SQS roundtable, which emphasized the importance of building a mentor-mentee program within our Toyota dealerships to foster a culture of retention. We were thrilled to have 36 (of 45) SQSs and 24 Service Managers in attendance, and the outcomes were outstanding. I want to extend my gratitude to all of our SQSs, Service Managers, MentorMentee team members, my incredible Regional Team members, Jay Marrazo and Jeff Harbaugh for their support of this program. We are building a better customer expirence…. together.
