关于我们
Who We Are: MENTOR Minnesota is the driving force in the mentoring movement. Its efforts translate into more caring adults mentoring a generation of children and youth at every level of the community. Its mission is to lead the state of Minnesota in building and sustaining quality mentoring for every child. MENTOR Minnesota formed in 1994 as a community initiative to promote mentoring for Minnesota youth. What We Do: MENTOR Minnesota supports and collaborates with more than 200 mentor programs that serve approximately 130,000 youth of all ages (primarily 8-18) in mentoring relationships across Minnesota. While growth is a vital component of connecting more young people with mentors, MENTOR Minnesota is dedicated to making sure those connections are quality matches, made through quality mentoring programs. Mentoring Works! Young people who have mentors have a better chance of succeeding and are more likely to make positive choices. Yet, in Minnesota there are an estimated *250,000 at-risk young people who need and could benefit from an adult mentor. MENTOR Minnesota focuses on three key strategic areas: 1. Increase and support quality mentoring, 2. Champion and promote the value of quality mentoring and 3. Generate sustainable resources to further the mentoring movement. We are bringing back a special Friday Friends in honor of Native American Heritage Month! MENTOR Minnesota has partnered with Youthprise to support the development of an Indigenous Mental Health Ambassador Program, built on an Indigenous self-determined pedagogy and grounded in empowering young people to be the inherent leaders of change through an intertribal approach in supporting mental health in their communities. This new cohort is set to launch early 2025 and we cannot wait to build the Mental Health Ambassadors Program for Indigenous communities! #MentoringAmplifies #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth

When you close your eyes, what kind of future do you see for the youth in your community? What type of support do you hope the mentors in your life have access to? At MENTOR Minnesota, these questions are always top of mind when we are working with programs and community. Our hearts are full knowing we've reached over 400 mentoring professionals with over 1,600 hours of training this year alone. While this impact is a bright spot in our work, we know there are so many programs we can still reach and uplift with no-cost resources, trainings and consulting. This Give to the Max, we invite you to help us illuminate more bright spots and support our mission to elevate mentoring and create accessible programming for all youth in Minnesota! Early giving is now open -- each gift of $30 will unlock our 30th Anniversary video, special for you, before the premiere on the 22nd!?#GTMD24?#MentoringAmplifies GTMD Link here: https://lnkd.in/gSZz8sHN
