MCORT goes live! MHA is excited to announce that Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams (MCORT) is officially launching TODAY, and across the state! Since being awarded the MCORT grant for Essex and Hudson Counties in September, our team has been hard at work behind the scenes—planning the program, educating community providers and local law enforcement, and spreading the word about 988 Lifeline. To celebrate, we’re hosting an Open House at our new Hudson County office on Wednesday, March 19th, from 12–3 PM (110A Meadowlands Parkway, Suite 203, Secaucus). On Wednesday, January 29, our Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) Morris team conducted the Morris County Point in Time (PIT) Count between the hours of 5 AM to 10 AM. Three teams, comprised of 18 dedicated MHA staff and volunteers, visited multiple locations to gather vital data on homelessness in our community.
