关于我们
Healing is our purpose. Help is our promise. Health is our passion. Mental Health Partners (MHP), a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, was founded in 1962 as the Mental Health Center of Boulder County and opened at the county general hospital on North Broadway in Boulder. The clinic, which was formed thanks to the collective efforts of a group of dedicated citizens, provided services for adult and child clients, as well as an after-care program for clients discharged from mental hospitals. Over the past 60 years, MHP has continued to keep pace with growth and demand. It is considered a leader and innovator in mental health, and it is the only organization providing comprehensive mental health services to residents of Boulder and Broomfield counties regardless of their ability to pay. Today, the organization serves over 21,000 individuals each year and responds to nearly 13,000 calls to emergency psychiatric services annually. MHP employs over 400 dedicated administrative and mental health professionals—including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and peer support specialists. Our team of licensed therapists and support team members are experts in their fields, bringing a wide array of knowledge and diversity to the individuals they serve. MHP runs 20+ distinct programs from 9 service locations across Boulder and Broomfield counties, and engages more than 100 community partners including schools, healthcare clinics, nonprofits, local agencies, and businesses. In 2022, MHP announced a partnership with Clinica to open a facility in Nederland. We have something to celebrate! Earlier this fall our training team headed to the YMCA of Northern Colorado & Southern Wyoming. 147 YMCA staff were trained in youth suicide prevention and mental wellness through our Coaches Care program. Coaches play a vital role in the lives of young athletes and students. They are often among the first to see concerning behaviors in youth, even before parents and teachers. By providing suicide prevention training for local coaches on how to recognize the signs and symptoms of suicidality, we can properly equip them to help save lives. Coaches Care is a collaborative project of Clinica Family Health & Wellness, Buffs4Life, YMCA of Northern Colorado, and Boulder Valley Rotary Club. Support from community members, local businesses, and organizations are welcome and important to its sustainability. Support Coaches Care https://lnkd.in/gUmAGuvX

What does family health mean? Do you need to bring your family to appointments? No. Do you need to have family living close by? Nope. How about, do you need to be close with your family members? You don't. For that matter, you don’t even need to have a family. Family health refers to the services and care we provide. Family physicians are the only specialists qualified to treat most ailments and provide comprehensive health care for people of all ages — from newborns to seniors. We partner with our clients and patients to build enduring and trusting relationships. We understand that your housing, access to food and the quality of air in your neighborhood impact your health, and that your health impacts those around you. We want to be who you turn to for all health concerns. In other words, we will treat you like family. #Health #FamilyHealth #Wellness

On Thursday, October 31st, Clinica Family Health & Wellness hosted a press conference organized by the Boulder County Family Resource Network (FRN) at our Lafayette Clinic. The Boulder County FRN consists of dozens of nonprofit organizations from across Boulder County, as well as schools and county and city government partners, all focusing on working together to improve support systems for local families. Despite seeing a steady increase in demand for services, local nonprofits like Clinica are experiencing deep cuts in public funding. At the same time, we are serving higher numbers of uninsured patients and clients. In response, many organizations are being forced to make difficult decisions that threaten to undermine critical safety net services. Our President & CEO, Simon Smith, who was joined by leaders from several peer organizations, said: "I have led Clinica as CEO for the past 11 years, and in all my years of work, I have never experienced a period as challenging as the one we now face. The health care safety net is facing a particularly complex storm of challenges."
